The region is a building block

AWS announced Lightsail availability in the Asia Pacific Malaysia Region and later announced EMR Serverless availability there. These services give Malaysian teams more local options for application, database, container, and data-processing workloads.

A region can reduce one kind of friction while exposing another. Teams still need to understand service boundaries, backup locations, account ownership, network design, and the cost of a workload that grows beyond its first estimate.
