A timber document workflow that turns scanned delivery orders into invoice-ready records with deterministic money logic and a review gate.
- The friction
- Handwritten delivery orders need careful reading, rate matching, invoice preparation, ledger updates, and exception handling. Manual processing creates delay and double entry risk.
- The system
- Friction designed a background worker that watches the intake folder, reads the delivery order, validates timber measurements, computes invoice values in tested code, and routes uncertain records to human review.
- The result
- The operating model becomes repeatable: one delivery order can produce the delivery summary, invoice PDF, and money ledger update with auditability.
