A proposal is not yet a law

The Ministry of Digital describes the proposed AI Governance Bill as a framework being developed through engagement and consultation. That status matters: businesses should not describe a proposal as a settled legal obligation.

It is still useful as a design signal. The ministry points to safeguards, incident reporting, and AI sandboxes as part of a trustworthy ecosystem.
