Many dashboards show what happened without showing who needs to act or which system owns the next step. The result is a polished delay: people still move between messages, spreadsheets, and reports to reconstruct the case.

A better visualisation is smaller and more operational. It highlights the signal that changed, the context that explains it, and the action that can move the work forward.

Good data storytelling does not hide uncertainty behind colour or motion. It gives the operator enough context to understand what is known, what is modelled, and what still needs judgement.

That is how a graph becomes part of an operating system rather than decoration inside one.
